Training has taken place in other areas including
South Australia, Queensland and Victoria

From April 2003 till April 2009 1106 have completed the one day course across Australia.

 

Information Session Option 1

Conduct Information session to the community on the program

In conjunction with _____________ Community. Conduct an information session to those interested people on the
CORESTM_________program

COST $1,000 plus accommodation and travel.   $1,000 reimbursed when a contract is signed

This option, allows a community to have a 3 hour induction session with organisers and 3 hour community meeting.  The reason for this is to decide If there is a need and support for a community Package

Option 2 Community Package

It empowers local communities to recognise the signs of suicide and intervene before a crisis occurs and the courage to refer onto appropriate services. It offers comprehensive mentoring and support to communities and fl exible training through a simple yet effective intervention model.
It engages people in the community no matter what their backgrounds may be and presents material in a simple to understand format.

Advice and support in designing, implementing your personalised program.

Training 6 local people as Team Leaders to facilitate 1 Day Suicide Intervention Courses as well as Team Meetings.

• A capacity to train 200 locals in the 1 day training course.
• Twelve months ongoing support and assistance, including six visits by Kentish Regional Clinic staff for the year.
• All material and resources to carry out the training.

Training includes:

  • Training  6 people as Team Leaders for the  CORESTM_________ program

These people will be trained over four days to deliver the CORESTM  package. This training will be conducted in ____________.

  • Develop the CORESTM_____________ Team

Develop a group of around 30 or more "significant people" in the community of __________ to recognise and handle situations in order to prevent suicides.

  • 200 people in the __________ Area to be trained in the one day CORESTM course  as part of the package over the 12 months
  • Provide Information session to community groups on the CORESTM __________ program

Implementation of the CORESTM program into the ________________ will commence with a community Launch followed by the
CO
RESTM one day training course for those people who wish to become members of the CORESTM _____________ Team

The development of the CORESTM _____________________ Team (“significant group”) will be supported by 5 visits by Senior Staff from KRC over the 12 months of the contract and one wrap up session
